NEWPORT, RI — The Newport Police Department is hosting a family skating night at Gurney's Newport next week. Only a limited number of tickets are still available. The event will be held from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. Feb. 9, with a rain date of the following day. Free skating will be available for kids 17 and under, as well as hot cocoa and music.
