Press release from Washington County Library: February 1, 2022 While it's great to read diversely throughout the year, Black History Month is a particularly excellent time to pick up about Black history, experiences, and culture.  Curious about the history of Black History Month? NPR has got you covered. Our librarians have gathered a variety of book lists featuring fiction, nonfiction, and more for readers of all ages. Take a peek at the lists below, then check out a book today! For Adults Adult Fiction for Black History Month – Check out some of our favorite contemporary and historical stories featuring Black authors and characters.   Adult Nonfiction for Black History Month – Jump into books that offer a sweeping account of Black history in the United States or dig deep into specific times and themes.
