EDINA, MN — The Minnesota Department of Transportation closed a pedestrian bridge in Edina after it was hit by a vehicle last week, according to city officials. The pedestrian bridge over Highway 62 in Rosland Park was hit Jan. 27 by a vehicle in the westbound lanes of the highway, officials said. It will be closed while transportation officials assess the damage and determine how to repair it. "Due to the extent of the damage, it is expected to be closed for an extended period of time," officials said. City officials said they are also working with the Department of Transportation to build an ADA-compliant bridge at the location, which will depend on the results of the damage assessment and funding.
