On January 1st, 2022 just before 4:00 a.m., an unknown suspect walked onto the San Dieguito Academy High School campus. The suspect proceeded to spray paint racial and homophobic slurs on the administration building, causing nearly $725 in damage. The suspect fled the scene on foot towards Santa Fe Drive.
On February 1st, 2022, a sixteen-year-old student of San Dieguito Academy High School was arrested for the vandalism. He was later released to the custody of his parents from the Sheriff's North Coastal Station. This case will be presented to the San Diego District Attorney's Office for prosecution and review.
