BUFFALO GROVE, IL — The following information comes from the Buffalo Grove Police Department (except when noted) and court records as a record of incidents reported to police and those arrested on criminal charges, which represent accusations by the state that are often dropped or reduced. Updated information may be available from the Lake County Clerk of the Circuit Court. Everyone arrested is presumed to be innocent unless found guilty in court beyond a reasonable doubt. ARRESTSDRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE Ulisses Ramos Ballesteros, of East Algonquin Road, Arlington Heights, is accused of driving under the influence of alcohol and was arrested Jan. 28. DRIVING ON A SUSPENDED/REVOKED LICENSE Antonio M. Luna. of N. Harlem Avenue, Chicago, is accused of driving on a revoked license, and was arrested Jan. 29. David J. Jones, of Morgan Street, Chicago, is accused of driving on an expired license, obstructing justice, and was arrested Jan. 31. LAST WEEK: Unwanted Solicitors Found On Multiple Floors Of Building INCIDENTSTHEFT FROM MOTOR VEHICLE A Villa Verde Drive resident called police on Jan. 26 to report during that during the overnight hours, someone removed the catalytic converter from their car while it was parked in the driveway. One of their tires was also flat. Police valued the stolen items at $2,700. THEFT A customer at Mariano's, 400 block of Half Day Road, reported at 4:17 p.m Jan. 26, their wallet was stolen from a cart while they were shopping. The customer was in the bakery area selecting bread when they walked away from the cart. SUSPICIOUS PHONE CALLS A resident called 911 at 3:16 p.m. Jan. 28, to report they had been contacted several times over the last two weeks by an unknown person requesting their Medicaid card number. The resident said they were unsure if the caller was from the doctor's office, but proceeded to give them the card information. They said it was the only information they provided to the caller. CRIMINAL DAMAGE TO PROPERTY A resident reported at 11 a.m. Jan. 29, their Jeep Wrangler was damaged while it was parked in the driveway. They found a scuff mark on the rear bumper of the car. The scuff stretched from the bottom of the bumper to the top. The resident said they had bought the vehicle four days prior and the damage wasn't present then. The resident also said their gas cap had also been unscrewed from the fill neck. INTOXICATED PERSON Police were on patrol at 1:36 a.m. Feb. 2, in the 1100 block of Dundee Road, when they saw a woman walking near the high school and fall to the ground. Police attempted to make contact with her, but said she ran away. A friend walked over to police and said the woman was drunk and trying to go home. They had stopped in the parking lot to go to the bathroom. The woman refused medical attention and police drove her home.
