Press release from the Contra Costa County Public Library: Haga clic aquí para leer este mensaje en español February 1, 2022 Dear Valued Library Patron, The brightest spot in my schedule last week was when I visited the Concord Library to see the brand-new children's area. It is splendid! It recently underwent a remodel that includes new paint, carpet, furniture and shelving. The space is now transformed into a bright, colorful and inviting destination. If you have a chance to drop in, I know the staff there would be delighted to have you. We are grateful for the continued partnership with the City of Concord and their support in improving the library. One of my New Year's resolutions is to include a link to a booklist in each of these newsletters. The inaugural booklist features recommended titles related to Black History Month that I've read, am thinking about reading or have started reading but haven't finished (yet).
