Custodian Job Description Compensation $17.00/hour Part time hire: 15 to 24 hours/week. Flexible. Schedule and time requirements: Typical shifts are done in the evenings between 4:30 pm to midnight. Sometimes early morning shifts work too, till 7:00 am. Skill and Other Requirements: Previous cleaning experience in a commercial, industrial, facilities, school, government or public buildings. Possession of or ability to acquire a State of Arizona DPS Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card, type IVP (E). Fair to advanced knowledge of acceptable sanitizing practices and effective applications. Competent prevention of germ cross-contamination. Dependable transportation including during times of moderate and inhospitable weather. Ability to do basic math and read/understand English or Spanish. Physically be able to bend to the floor, step or climb short ladders or stools, stretch and reach, lift and carry up to 35lbs, push up to 60 lbs, all of the listed items under description below. Description: picking up trash and recycling, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, or using industrial and consumer grade cleaning equipment to clean floors, cleaning and stocking bathrooms, making sure buildings are secure, cleaning windows, and minor maintenance of vacuums and carpet cleaner. All table tops and countertops in all rooms are expected to be kept clean Daily, thorough mopping of the multi-purpose “dance studio” will be required. Maintaining cleaning equipment, taking inventory and ordering supplies. Typical hours will average four hours/day, five days/week to maintain a high standard of sanitation, organization and cleaning functionality. Hours are flexible, but must be worked around class times and other functions. Typically acceptable cleaning start times are no earlier than 4:00 p.m. and end times no later than 7:30 a.m. on regular school days.
