Description
Do you fit the following description?:
You live in Raleigh.
You are retired or otherwise self-sufficient and not needing a job strictly for the money.
You have a caring heart and are in search of a meaningful way to spend some of your extra time, maybe in a situation where you are there for and helping your fellow man at one of their most difficult times in life.
Maybe you're a former first-responder, or you worked in the medical field, you had the occasion when you encountered death, and you weren't terribly bothered by it.
Maybe you've always had an interest in what it might be like to work in a funeral home, but were afraid to ask or you felt someone would think badly of you for asking.
You're physically well and able to lift 150 lbs and able to maneuver heavier weights. Sorry, but if body piercings, unusual or odd-placed tattoos or unusual hair styles or unusual facial hair are what people focus on or remember about you when meeting you for the first time, then please do not respond to this ad.
You don't object to the idea of being on call, getting up in the middle of the night, putting on dress clothes so you present a professional appearance and responding to a residence, hospital, nursing home or other facility where a death has occurred.
If you see yourself mostly fitting this description, and you're interested, then I would like to hear from you. You might be exactly what we need, and we might be able to offer you the opportunity to be a part-time member of our care team. If remuneration is important or critical for you, then don't bother answering this ad. Although there is some pay involved, this activity is more about being of service to others, which is why I placed this solicitation here and not in the jobs section.
If you've read this far and are still interested, please respond with your name, what part of the area you live in, and tell me about yourself, what you're doing now and what you've done before. Send a resume if you have one.
Thank you.
