JOB DESCRIPTION Warehouse/Counter Worker Summary A warehouse/counter worker is responsible for assisting in the daily operations of a retail hose and fittings store, preparing orders for outside sales persons and warehouse tasks as assigned. Duties and Responsibilities A Warehouse/Counter worker shall be responsible for: • Assisting walk-in customers with their needs, write up their order, and follow through to completion • Answering customer questions, over the counter and on the phone, about the various products we sell and their applications. • Pulling orders for outside sales persons to deliver to customers • Assembling custom hoses • Pulling stock orders to be transferred to one of our other stores • Assisting with cycle counting of product • Restocking store and warehouse shelves with product • Cleaning the warehouse and store, as assigned • Emptying trash and recycling, as assigned Accountability The Warehouse/Counter Person is accountable to the Head of Counter. Skills and Education Requirements The Warehouse/Counter worker shall have: • High school diploma or equivalent GED • Must be a legal US resident • Must be 18 or older • Valid driver’s license and be insurable • Good customer service skills • Attention to detail • Must be responsible and exhibit professional behavior. • Mechanically inclined • Good with numbers and fractions • Good phone etiquette • Forklift use and operation a plus • Knows how to use, read and interpret a tape measure • Basic computer skills Physical and Time Demands The Warehouse/Counter worker position requires: • Must be able to at least 75lbs, and lift 50lbs repetitively. • Must be able stand for a majority of the work day • Must be able to pass a drug test Standard hours for this position are Monday-Friday from 8am-5pm, with some possible variation, and some Saturday morning shifts.
