Heartland Garage Builders is currently seeking a Construction Manager who is motivated, organized, a self-starter with a strong construction background, good communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with all customers, trades, sub-contractors and municipal representatives. Responsibilities: • Schedule and supervise daily construction activities described in sales and construction documents, including but not limited to demolition, concrete, framing, exterior finishes and mechanical work. • Utilize BuilderTrend software for scheduling of trades, task management, document management and invoice approval. • Inspect/monitor job sites to ensure that work follows municipal requirements, building codes and is completed per the approved architectural plans. • Ensure all work performed by Trader Partner meets/exceeds Heartland Garage Builder’s quality standards. • Conduct client meetings as required, including final walk-through once garage is completed. • Accountable to manage and minimize trade/sub-contractor extras. • Provide sub-contractor/trade feedback to purchasing/office management for overall performance. • Maintain records of all change orders, purchase orders and inspections for garage projects. • Sign off on satisfactory completion of work and validate all material deliveries for quantity and condition for all garages. • Walk assigned garage projects minimum 3 times weekly. • Ensure job site cleanliness, safety and municipal storm water/erosion control practices are in place as required. • Manage field expenses within budget while ensuring quality control and completion in allotted time. • Able to manage multiple projects at once • Other duties as assigned
