Hello, In 2019 I adopted 2 female chinchillas from a family that had accidental babies. The pair is a mother / daughter, with the mother being about 4 years old. I am rehoming them because my house is too small and it's too challenging having them in my bedroom. They are friendly with me as I am their care taker, but are shy with new people. With time and treats they will be your best friends. They love coming out of their enclosure to hop around and explore, I love sitting with them as they're out and they will hop all over me and sit on my lap. Chinchillas will come with all supplies: oxbow pellets and hay, multiple fleece bedding pieces, 2 story ferret nation critter cage model 181, custom wooden ledges, metal cage inserts, large and tall metal play pen fence, storage drawers for supplies, dust bath container and 2 containers of dust. Pick up only, rehoming fee applies. You will need to bring something to transport the chinchillas. The cage does break down but it will take some effort and time. If you have a pick up it would fit in the bed. They chew on things so transportation crate will need to be sturdy, not cardboard. If you are traveling far I would recommend a guinea pig cage, as it will be safe and comfortable while everything is moved. I work 3rd shift weekends, and have been doing overtime during the week so my apologies if I do not respond same day.
