Danvers Police Lobby Reopens To Public After Coronavirus Closure

DANVERS, MA — Danvers police are opening their doors to the public for the first time in nearly seven months this week as the police station lobby and some other services suspended due to the coronavirus health crisis are once again available. Citizens are encouraged to continue contacting the department through the dispatch center at 978-774-1213 for residents, 978-774-1212 for those calling from out of town, and 911 for emergencies. Danvers Town Hall and other municipal buildings also reopened on Monday. Danvers police have also resumed their medication and needle disposal program. Those programs are for Danvers residents. Residents looking to utilize them should go to the front desk with identification before disposing of items. Danvers police said the records division is accessible as well. Those wishing to use that are asked to send an advance email to [email protected] to set up an appointment and allow at least two business days for a response. Those entering the station must wear a face mask and practice social distancing.
