Description
DANVERS, MA — The next chance to have a firearms permit processed in Danvers will not be until 2021.
Danvers police said that "due to unforeseen circumstances" they are postponing the scheduled dates on Dec. 15 and Dec. 21. The next scheduled date is Jan. 8.
Danvers police said applicants are encouraged, but not required, to scan completed applications and support documentation to [email protected] prior to coming to the station.
Those who cannot do that should bring all necessary documents to the station for processing.
Those applying for permits will have their temperatures checked and will be required to self-certify they are not experiencing any coronavirus-like symptoms.
Those whose temperature reads higher than 98.6 degrees will be asked to leave the station and return for a permit no earlier than 14 days later.
