Open car hood

Description

Our car battery died could not hey door open. We tried manually opening the hood but we didn't know what we were doing a broke the hood latch. We finally were able to get the doors open but now we can't get the hood to open to jump start the car. Need it opened so we can get it to the mechanic to fix latch(can't afford a tow) should be an easy fix(opening latch) for someone who knows what they are doing. We obviously don't. There is easy access to the latch since part of the grill is missing(in picture). Thank you for your time
