The Landscape Construction Laborer is responsible for safe, efficient, and quality completion of tasks assigned by the Foreman. Responsibilities and Duties: • Safety - wears a company shirt, hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, and proper work boots and required PPE during all working hours and attends weekly safety meetings. • Stretches and warms up at beginning of every shift and after lunch. • Use assigned tools and equipment in a proper, safe manner. • Be able to work in various positions including, but not limited to, stooping, standing, bending over, sitting, pushing, digging, shoveling, raking, kneeling and squatting for extended periods of time. • Arrives on time and ready for work at designated times and places.. • Professionally represents the company at all times while working. • Maintains all assigned tools in clean proper working condition. • Reports needed equipment maintenance or repairs to the Foreman. • Secures the hand tools assigned to him during the work day and returns them to company facilities at the completion of work. • Help to ensure that job sites are maintained in an acceptable safe, clean and organized manner. • No customer complaints or rework due to sub-standard work. • Shows a high level of team effort with high morale and motivation. • Willingness to work overtime, if required. • Works safe and smart to ensure zero accidents occur on job sites. • Complete job projects to the highest level of quality and efficiency as directed by the Foreman. • Follows Pierre Safety Standards at all times Qualifications: Use of the English language is desirable, but not required. Knowledge of landscape and/or irrigation is desirable, but not required. Must be able to follow directions without constant supervision. Learn and perform basic planting and irrigation skills. Become proficient in the use of basic hand tools. Become proficient in the use of basic power equipment used for landscape. Communicate with Foreman regarding the progress of tasks. Must be able to meet physical demands Landscape experience desirable, but not required
