My name is Joe. I recently moved back here from B.R. after I retired. I have played guitar for decades and know plenty of theory but am still a newbie in jazz performance. I want to get together and work on standard jazz tunes, building a small repertoire. Maybe we can start with play-a-longs, such as tunes from Jamey Aebersold vol. 54 (Maiden Voyage). The purpose is not to form a gigging band, but a study group, getting together once a week. I am also interested in collaborating on arrangements, e.g., solo guitar chord melody and guitar duet.
