Position Overview The Facilities Painter / Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing routine building maintenance tasks under the direction of the Director of Facilities. This position will focus predominantly on performing general painting projects in addition to refurbishing areas needing attention. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Paint, remodel, refurbish areas as needed Repair, maintain/monitor all equipment and amenities Change of all filters for HVAC as required Remove and properly dispose of all recyclable materials Change light bulbs, interior and exterior, as needed Maintain exterior property, including snow removal Performs routine maintenance around the property under the direction of the Director Attends departmental staff meetings Completes other appropriate assignments made by the Facilities Manager Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities Basic knowledge of trades to understand repair problems and make minor repairs on outlets, lamps and plumbing fixtures General knowledge of power tools Ability to work under tight time constraints, handle sensitive data, and multi-task so that deadlines can be met Basic understanding of electrical, plumbing, and carpentry Ability to work with minimal supervision Must demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills; customer service oriented Must be organized, detail oriented, self-motivated, and able to multi-task Credentials And Experience High school education or equivalent Basic understanding of electrical, plumbing, and carpentry Ability to work with minimal supervision Must demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills; customer service oriented Must be organized, detail oriented, self-motivated, and able to multi-task
