Pedestrian Killed In Crash On Thoreau Street In Concord

CONCORD, MA — An adult woman died after she was hit by a driver on Thoreau Street in Concord Thursday, according to the Middlesex District Attorney's Office. The crash happened at 10:30 a.m. near Main Street. Witnesses told WCVB the woman was pinned under the car and it took rescuers 20 minutes to free her. She was taken to a hospital, where she was pronounced dead. The driver stayed at the scene. The DA's office said there's an "open and ongoing" investigation involving Concord police and Massachusetts State Police. Patch will update this story.
