I photograph for publishers of books, calendars, greeting cards and magazines. And I am not quite sure why someone keeps feeling compelled to flag my posts.... They only last a couple of hours. I'd love to hear their reasoning..... On a snowy or rainy day, work on teaching your dog to carry a basket. Clicker training works super well, and a dog that loves to carry things will likely catch on quickly. Gradually add things that are light weight, and gradually train a recall with picking up the basket. I buy baskets at thrift stores and look for ones that have a flat, immoveable handle or a narrow twisted handle. Both are easiest for a dog to carry and balance. If you have a dog who can master carrying flowers or fruit or candies or balls of knitting yarn in a basket, I would love to take its picture! Some competition obedience dogs probably already have this skill from open and utility exercises. Be in touch for a photo session!
