Housekeeper Job Description Who You’ll Work With: This is a full-time role that reports directly to the House Manager. The schedule for this position is set for Wednesday through Sunday. We will also require flexibility as our needs shift and additional duties arise that may require your in-person assistance. Duties, Responsibilities, and Requirements: Position: Housekeeper Reports to: House Manager Role The main function of the housekeeper is to maintain cleanliness in line with the homeowner's requirements, ensuring clean and comfortable surroundings for the family and guests. The housekeeper will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and function of the main house, the on-site short term rental house and the office which is housed in a small on-site cottage. This role is full-time, Wednesday-Sunday. Responsibilities Maintain all cleaning equipment, supplies, and products; ensure safe and sanitary storage and care of products Perform general sweeping, scrubbing, and mopping of hardwood, laminate, or tiled floors as needed In charge of vacuuming equipment; vacuum and clean carpets and perform further treatments such as shampoo or stain-removal as needed Dispose of trash from bins and containers Dust and polish furniture and room accessories as needed Scrub sinks, basins, bathtubs, showers, and toilets Change linens and gather used linens such as sheets or towels for laundering Clean windows, glass surfaces, mirrors, and counters as needed Keep all spaces neat and tidy Report repairs and replacements needed when encountered Responsible for replenishing cleaning and home supplies, cleaning and storing housekeeping equipment properly Childcare: Preparing breakfast and other simple meals on the weekends Guest rental: Turnover the on-site short term rental house once per week, including but not limited to washing and changing linens, cleaning bathrooms and the kitchen, refilling toiletries, etc. Office: Maintain the cleanliness of the on-site office once per week. Run errands when needed by the family or house manager Prepare the properties for guests and/or special events occasionally. Requirements As we’re looking for an ideal fit, our new Housekeeper will likely possess what we’ve listed below: Proven experience as a Housekeeper Ability to work with little supervision and maintain a high level of performance Attention to detail Prioritization, punctual, and time management skills Ability to lift up to 25lbs Ability to maintain a professional appearance and interact positively with family and guests High school diploma Ability to work a consistent schedule Why This Job is Awesome: We offer competitive compensation.
