Teaching is my passion! I have taught for 22 years in the NYC public school system, in both general education and special education classes, in grades K through 5. For the past 9 years, I have worked as a SETSS (special education teacher support services) teacher, with students who need to accelerate to grade level and/or have special needs. My specialty is helping struggling readers, using a systematic, multi-sensory approaches to reading. I also love helping children develop their math problem-solving skills, by giving them resources to break down complicated procedures into clean, simple steps.
