Description
“Northern Diamondback terrapins are turtles with diamond-shaped markings and grooves on the scutes (plates) of their carapaces (top shells), which range from medium gray or brown to nearly black.
Their skin color is a pale to dark gray or black, flecked with dark spots, blotches or stripes. No two individual diamondback terrapins are exactly alike in coloration and pattern.”(tortoisetown).
I have a 14 month old Diamond back terrapin, his name is Munchie, the personality fits the name! He loves snacks and creepy crawlers! He’s a very energetic turtle and incredibly fun to watch. I got him just when he was a hatchling and accustomed him to freshwater. Unfortunately in the last year I lost my job and fell into hard times, I don’t have the space or the time to care for Munchie like I want to. I feel horrible even putting an ad out for his new home, but I know he would be much happier in a more stable environment. I have a long history with reptiles and exotic animals and I would like to give him to someone with some experience or knowledge about the species. I have the tank, and all the tank accessories that you would need and I can also provide food for the first month. He mainly eats insects. (i.e crickets, fish, wax worms, meal worms, etc.
