He has released three LPs of his own material, collaborated with Grammy winners, and contributed guitar to the 2021 Juno-winning Bahamas album, Sad Hunk. Supporting his latest release Get Free, Sam is going forth with the same intention and mantra as when he began: “Music is an emotional conduit between people and allows us the opportunity to share moments of truth and unity. In an age where the ritual of music-making can be a solitary exercise, I want to live my life to remind everyone that playing music as a communal and spontaneous practice can be healing and powerful.” // Florida-based artist, Matthew Fowler, is the perfect storm of all the essential singer-songwriter elements: a flawlessly raw yet organic voice, intricate melodies, compelling musicianship, and an overwhelmingly rich and rootsy sound. He released his homegrown debut album, “Beginning”, comprising of songs written between the ages 14 and 19 years old. The record, which was recorded live in his kitchen back home in Orlando, was first singled out by American Songwriter Magazine who hailed: “Fowler shows the same mastery of earnest, strummy, songcraft as established artists like Damien Rice and Ben Howard.” Since the album’s release, Fowler’s musicianship has been lauded by notable publications such as The Bluegrass Situation, CMT Edge, Acoustic Guitar Magazine, and Huffington Post. Fowler's stage dynamic has formed into a capturing experience; he’s performed live on various NPR affiliates, has an Audiotree session under his belt, and has opened acts like Richard Thompson, Damien Jurado, The Weepies, Sea Wolf, Angel Olsen, and many more. PBS’ nationally syndicated "Music City Roots” applauded Fowler’s songwriting stating, “He shows poise and command way beyond his years. He delivered his lines over muted, minimal acoustic guitar and then answered those words with explosive chordal bursts, like punctuation”. Matthew’s fervor for performing live will see him back out on the road, where he’s transitioned into a national touring artist. He continues honing new tunes and has a new record slated for a 2021 release with Signature Sounds. // Tom West is a singer-songwriter with a distinctive, androgynous vocal style and propensitiy to write catchy, tender folk songs often embellished with ambitious arrangements and cinematic flair. Following a covid enforced touring hiatus during which he returned to Australia through most of 2020 & 2021, West will be returning to the road less travelled: with tour dates in November set to celebrate his releases over the previous few tumultuous years. His 2020 album ‘Antarctica’ was written during a period after his father died from Motor Neurone Disease and released, with the generous support of his community of fans via Kickstarter, during Covid isolation after his album tour was cancelled. Produced by Allen Tate (San Fermin) in Brooklyn, NY it features a collection of songs that have proven to enthrall audiences around the word with West’s forthcoming style and honestly behind his storytelling and music. “A document to accompany self-reflection and meditation. I’m Livin’ is truly special.” - Rolling Stone Australia “A Folk Singer From Outer Space’ somehow offers some soothing solace for the current, permeating state of loss and isolation.’ - American Songwriter “**** With his unique voice, storytelling and folk sensibility he could pass for a modern-day Neil Young.” - Courier Mail “One of the best albums of 2020” - Scenster “His keening, androgynous voice - in an upper register that recalls Brian Aubert, frontman of Los Angeles indie rockers Silversun Pickups - is a joyously tuneful instrument, meshing with his finger-picked guitars, sprinklings of piano, bass and Ringo - like drums. West’s material … is consistently strong, with memorably melodic choruses…” - The Australian “Tom’s latest cut is a poignantly earnest slice of indie-folk that is bound to pull at your heartstrings...creating a sound that is undeniably cinematic and powerful.” - The Vinyl District UK // $10 adv/ $12 at the door (advance sales until 3pm day of show, then available at the door). Doors at 6pm, showtime 7pm
