Hello! My name is Lawson. I just relocated to the Jacksonville area from Rochester, New York, and I'm looking to meet new people, be creative, and get involved in the local scene. I've been playing the drums for around 9 years now, on my own and with various different groups and musicians. My most recent project was a free improvisational, semi-noise duo, but I've been in cover bands, and sat in on some other original pursuits. Some of my favorite drummers that have inspired me greatly are Deantoni Parks, Jerry Fuchs, Zach Hill, Damon Che, and Jon Theodore. That being said, I try to look beyond just drumming itself and take influence from as many other art forms as I can. Generally, I'm only interested in all-original projects; preferably in the 17 to 30 age range right now. I don't consider myself a versatile musician in any way, but I'm open to a wide variety of potential anything. I'm just as into poppy, hook-heavy music as I am anything weirder.
