Description
NO ME. US? As the Omicron surge continues in America and our elected officials pass incremental gestures like a free mask for everyone to wear. The number ONE question on everyone's mind who wants Medicare For All is, “Where is Bernie Sanders?” Arguably the most popular politician in recent years who brought Medicare For All to the forefront, Bernie Sanders and his movement is nowhere to be found. Right after Senator Sanders dropped out of the 2020 Presidential Election and when COVID-19 shut down the rest of the world, Bernie Sanders said, "we can't pass that [Medicare For All] right now." WHY? Locals, representatives, healthcare professionals, and healthcare activists alike will call, send letters, travel to Vermont, and travel to Washington D.C. to tell the American people, “Bernie Broke My Heart.” Serving as an elected official for over 40 years and Medicare For All being his flagship position, why would Bernie Sanders abandon a grassroot effort to push for Medicare For All during the middle of a global pandemic? Join us as we tell Senator Sanders that a grassroot movement for Medicare For All would help our public health, our public safety, and our public equity in our community. Look at what a grassroot movement did for Women’s Suffrage! Look at what a grassroot movement did for Civil Rights! Look at what a grassroot movement did for the Vietnam War! Hear us as we share healthcare stories and discuss in the richest country in the world that 68,000 Americans needlessly die each year because of corporate GREED! Our government is bought and paid for by Big Pharmaceutical companies and by the Private Health Insurance Industry. Did Bernie choose a side? You did decide!
