Description
CONCORD, MA — Concordians over 60 are swapping memories and stories through a group called Concord After 60. The group has moved virtual to allow members to safely continue to connect during the pandemic.
Concord After 60 is a social and support group for Concord residents over 60-years-old. Meetings are held via Zoom on the third Sunday of the month. The next meeting is Dec. 13 from 2-4 p.m. and will focus on midwinter festivities. People are invited to share memories, stories or readings.
Participants can sign in at 2 p.m. and at 2:15 p.m. there will be a musical interlude. At 2:30 p.m. participants will have the chance to share remembrances of mid-winters past and show photos or artifacts related to their memories of midwinter and the holidays.
The Concord After 60 monthly meetings have an activity or speaker. Historian Jayne Gordon is on the docket for the start of the year. If you would like to join the group contact a chair and you will receive the Zoom link.
For more information or to join contact co-chairs Pam Hanson, [email protected], or Ann Schumers, [email protected].
