CHELMSFORD, MA — The Chelmsford Lions will take on the Billerica Memorial Indians in annual Thanksgiving Day play Thursday morning. The two schools have faced off against each other annually since 1927, making their rivalry edging close to a century old. The rival teams meet up this year at 10 a.m. Thanksgiving morning at Marshall Middle School in Billerica. The weather is supposed to be a bit windy, but mercifully warmer than it was last year this time. The Lions beat the Indians, 6-0, in the annual Thanksgiving Day game at Simonian Stadium in Chelmsford last year. But the year before, Billerica pulled a 22-14 win over Chelmsford.
