CHELMSFORD, MA — If you plan to drive down Route 3A from Chelmsford to Riley Road in Tyngsborough, you may want to plan a little extra time this week and next, as the Massachusetts Department of Transportation will be closing lanes from Route 40 in Chelmsford to Riley Road. Watch for detours. But the good news is that the lane closures are part of an effort to get that road repaved. Here's when crews will be at work on the road: 7 a.m. until 4 p.m., Monday through Friday. 7 p.m. through 5 a.m., Oct. 4 through Oct. 15. Google Maps
