One-day workshop for Idaho's evidence-based home visiting programs featuring Strengthening Families Protective Factor Framework .
Strengthening Families: A Protective Factors Framework is a valuable tool for home visitors to use in both their personal lives and professional work. It can mobilize communities and families to build family strengths, promote optimal child development and reduce child abuse and neglect.
Join Maureen Durning and Jane Zink as they bring an engaging workshop and self-resilience building strategies to life for Idaho’s evidence-based home visiting programs. Together Maureen and Jane co-authored STRONG: Teaching the Strengthening Families Protective Factor Framework to Parents and Professionals, a book of lesson plans to teach the skills we all need to promote Protective Factors.
Home visitors will have the opportunity to connect with each other in group discussions and informal exchanges. Lunch will include conversations with MIECHV Steering Committee members.
The venue is the Riverside Hotel, located on the beautiful Boise river. Attendees must call the hotel to make reservations for the group rate. Call (208) 343-1871 and ask for the Home Visiting Connections group rate.
