Description
Join us for a one-of-a-kind fashion show featuring original designs created by designers with diverse abilities and community volunteers! For one night only, Flutter Productions proudly presents: FashionABLE: All-Ability Threads, an exciting one-of-a-kind fashion forward event unlike any other! Come join us in the Rose House at Jolly Lane Greenhouse on Saturday, February 12, 2022 to see original designs come to life on the runway! Created by designers with diverse abilities and community volunteers, FashionABLE showcases creative designs with music and dance in this biennial, fashion forward show. For the safety of our performers, volunteers, and staff, there will be two shows this year with limited seating. The shows will be at 5:00PM and 7:00PM on Saturday, February 12, 2022. All guests will be asked to wear masks during the performances. FashionABLE is produced by Flutter Productions. Flutter Productions, part of the Black Hills Works family, creates opportunities for performers of all abilities to soar and a new, creative community in which performers-with and without disabilities-come together to celebrate the human spirit. Proceeds from the tickets supports the array of classes and performances offered by Flutter Productions. For more information, please visit www.flutterproductions.com. Black Hills Works Mission: Creating a community where everyone participates to achieve a life of full potential. Black Hills Works Vision: A community where all people are good neighbors, valued friends, productive workers, respected leaders, and caring volunteers. Above all, Black Hills Works is a person-centered agency. Person Centered Thinking (PCT) involves putting the people we support at the center of our agency and the decisions and planning that impact their lives. Many of our staff and people supported have been trained as Person Centered Thinking coaches to ensure that the philosophy is woven throughout our organization. In person-centered planning, groups of people focus on an individual and that person's vision of what they would like to do and can do, rather than on what others think they should do or what they cannot do. To help people self-direct their lives, we provide education, exposure, and experiences so that they can determine their own goals. Then we provide the supports they need to achieve their goals and live their dreams.
