TuN is an established originals group of professional musicians. Our current guitarist and writing partner has been with us since the band was formed, a decade ago, but is looking at limited availability this fall, going forward. We're seeking someone with the same approach and qualities - Solid, tight, funky rhythm parts, and lead when needed is tasteful with personality and soul. Ability to play slide would be nice, but not required. We'd like to ease someone in to the role over the next several months to eventually take over as the primary guitarist. Sound-wise, our current guitarist plays an ES 335 and sometimes a Telecaster through a Fender '65 Twin Reverb Reissue - a vintage sound with a little overdrive, sometimes with a bit of tremolo or crybaby. Something that would also fit our sound would be along the lines of Stevie Ray Vaughan tone-wise or John Mayer both in style and tone. What we're looking for: Weekend Availability - Rehearsals are every other Sunday around 1pm Professional attitude Reliability Should be open to playing what others suggest. Know when to lay back and give space Perhaps, this one may be too much to ask - doesn't have to be the loudest instrument in the room 😆😉 Confidence - Not ego We do get compensated for most performances, but this band is for fun and about music and musical family, above all. We spend 90 percent of our time collaborating to create melodic tunes with grooves that infect the soul - When folks get up and dance to a new song or ours that they've never heard, we know we've created something special.
