Description

Putting politics and religion aside, join your Bitterroot Valley neighbors and create the community ties we all want to share. In these times of uncertainty and disruption our community is our most precious asset! We invite you to join your Bitterroot Valley neighbors in a collaborative deep dive into shared values, vision, and hopes. Together we will form support teams and action teams for puting our ideas to the test and into action for the good of all in our community. Community Members and Youth are encouraged to attend. Please participate! Please do what you need to do to feel safe and be happy for others doing what they need to do to feel safe. WE MUST COME TOGETHER if want to move forward!! Let's set aside our differences and find our commmonalities. Social distancing will be made possible, masks welcome but not required, and if you live in the Bitterroot Valley you are an important part of this process! Many of the learning materials are adapted from the Presencing Institute, an offshoot of M.I.T. These professional tools will help us find the places of shared vision, prototype new ideas, and move into action for the benefit of all. Thank you for being a part of creating the Bitterroot Valley we all want. After this weekend you will have: *A 'Base Camp Team' for supporting each other *A 'Prototype Team' for action- testing out ideas, reevaluating, and trying again *Your 'First Next Steps' for action and creating the kind of community we all want *A chance to win $300 for your 'Prototype Team' to put your ideas to the test *The tools for finding shared understanding and direction Intended to inspire gratitude, generosity, fraternity, participation, a creative spirit, and a love of Mother Nature, Cultivating Connections teaches real job skills in the Agricultural and Home Arts and act as a catalyst for community building using food as the tool to bring people together through education, participation, and celebration.
