A great time for the whole family! HYBRID EVENT!!! Join us as Asha Ntim leads us through a fun art activity to celebrate black history. Attendees will make self portraits and learn how they can make history present day. Attendees will have a chance to win free giveaways too! Supplies needed: construction paper, scissors, glue, markers, aluminum foil, decorations (glitter, ribbon, scrap fabric, yarn, old earrings, etc.) You can join through Zoom by registering at: https://us02web.zoom.us/meeting/register/tZwtd-Cuqj4iG9NiHRezDEzBAPXt3WVVJ_vJ In person location: Blue Door Neighborhood Center, 756 E. 111th Street, Chicago, IL 60628 Time: 6 pm to 7 pm CST Burst Into Books! is a leveled reading organization that is geared towards children from ages 6 months to 18 years old. Your child will develop a love for literature through reading circles, book clubs and family centered events. Once a month, six book clubs will meet that are grouped by age (i.e. 6 months to 3 years old; 4 - 7 years old; 8 - 10 years old; and 11 - 13 years old; and high school). Each group is led by an experienced educator that will help each child engage with the text through multiple ways.
