Since the inception of the program, Corporal Siegel began teaching key elements of good sportsmanship, self-discipline and just as importantly afforded a prime opportunity for the youth of the Tampa Bay Area to have a positive interaction with police officers. The PAL Boxing Program struggled in the 1960’s, but was revived in 2016, through a partnership with the Tampa Housing Authority. Since the revitalization, the program has served over 500 of the City of Tampa’s youth at no cost. A majority of our athletes come from single parent households, that gross less than $25,000 a year. We at PAL believe in our mission of cops coaching kids and to never leave a kid behind.
