UCF Spring 2022 Center for Public and Nonprofit Management Spring Eminent Scholar Lecture Series, featuring Mr. Scott Jenkins, UCF Alum Join us at the UCF Downtown campus on Thursday, March 24th, 2022 at 2:00 pm for a discussion with accomplished UCF Alum, Mr. Scott Jenkins, the Strategy Director for State Policy at the Lumina Foundation. About Scott: UCF Alum, Scott Jenkins, is the Strategy Director for State Policy at Lumina Foundation - an independent, private foundation in Indianapolis that is committed to making opportunities for learning beyond high school available to all. In this role, he leads the development and advancement of the foundation’s state policy agenda. Prior to joining Lumina, Scott worked for the National Governors Association and Western Governors University. He also served as the Senior Education Policy Director for Governor Mitch Daniels of Indiana, where he directed the Governor’s education agenda in the Department of Education, Commission for Higher Education, and the state legislature. Mr. Jenkins’ time in government spans more than 20 years and his contributions include service at the state and federal levels of government, where he supported the development and execution of policy through institutions and state and federal offices. His highest position in government to date includes his service as Deputy Assistant Secretary at the United States Department of Education in the George W. Bush administration. Mr. Jenkins holds a bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of Central Florida. Location: UCF Downtown - Dr. Philips Academic Commons Building Street Address: 528 W. Faculty members in the School of Public Administration and the school’s Center for Public and Nonprofit Management conduct applied research that is problem-oriented, theory-driven and interdisciplinary.  The mission of the CPNM is to facilitate and support sponsored research on policy and management and lead funded public service projects that inclusively enhance lives and strengthen communities.  Creative and scholarly collaborations with community partners are welcomed. Opportunities include: Funded contracts of varying amounts for consultation needs, grant projects for larger research and capacity building projects, and major research initiatives and institutes. The Center for Public and Nonprofit Management is led by Dr. Maritza Concha and accountable to an advisory council and to the University of Central Florida Board of Trustees.
