CLEARWATER, FL — The Pier 60 Sugar Sand Festival presented by Visit St. Pete-Clearwater is seeking volunteers to assist with the return of the eighth annual event on Clearwater Beach April 8-24. Volunteer opportunities range from merchandise sales to greeting guests. Volunteer perks include: Complimentary sand ambassador T-shirtComplimentary meal (valid only after completion of shift)Complimentary transportation from downtown ClearwaterAccess to the Sugar Sand Walk Exhibit the day of the volunteer's shift One complimentary general admission ticket for a return visit Volunteers must be able to walk in the sand and tolerate the Florida heat. Sunscreen will be provided upon request. High school students ages 15 and older are welcome to volunteer. Any volunteer younger than 18 years old must have parental permission. Volunteer hours can be applied to Bright Futures scholarships, so volunteers should bring Bright Futures forms to be signed upon completion of the shift.
