2022 Bartlett Alumni Hockey Tournament - Party Bears are back after a brief hiatus due to the pandemic but we all know Bears Don't Quit! We are getting fancy in 2022 as the alumni committee brings the tournament indoors and out of the cold for a more comfortable and party friendly atmosphere for all to enjoy. The event will take place Saturday, April 16 from 2pm-6pm at the O'Malley Ice Centre and Blueline Pub. Cost: 2 options for contributing to the BHS Alumni fund - $50 basic Tournament fee covers the ice, or for those feeling a little more generous we have a Bears With A Heart option, which for $100 you will receive a limited edition pint glass to commemorate the event along with another piece of swag TBD, and any funds left over will go to the BHS Alumni Fund. These VIP tickets must be purchased by 3/20 so we can order the swag! Our Purpose: This one day extravaganza is meant to celebrate BHS hockey past and present with a focus on community and the survival of the hockey program at our alma mater. The Bartlett Alumni Hockey Committee intends to use this tournament as a fundraiser for future alumni events, and any additional funds raised will go to supporting the current hockey program at Bartlett before it's too late. The Format: 4 team, round robin style, full ice. 6 games total at 15 minutes each with 5 minutes between games. Then a 30 minute championship game. Three15min games zam, three more 15min games zam, 20 minute toilet bowl game, then 20-30min championship game. Post game celebration with food, drinks and awards. Picking the Teams: When we are about a week out from the event, we will create a 4 captains draft. Once the teams have been picked we will announce the teams and assign jersey colors and create an official schedule.
