NEW HAVEN, CT - A West Haven resident is $30,000 richer after purchasing a winning lottery ticket in New Haven earlier this week, according to the Connecticut Lottery. On January 31, Syed Zaheer Sherazi, of West Haven, purchased a 30X Cash 9th Edition ticket from Gerry's Shell Food Mart in New Haven and won $30,000.
