HOWARD COUNTY, MD — A man was found shot in a van in Howard County by state troopers who were responding to a crash that occurred in Elkridge Sunday afternoon. The man was taken to the R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center for treatment, according to the police. Troopers responded to a single-vehicle crash that was headed northbound on I-95 in the area of Maryland Route 100 in Elkridge. They found a white cargo van stopped in the median and when checking on the vehicle, they found the man shot, the police disclosed in a report. The Maryland State Police homicide unit is leading the investigation. Anyone who may have witnessed the incident or has relevant information is asked to contact the police at 410-929-0802.
