Here are the top three stories in Des Moines today: Drivers in downtown Des Moines can soon enjoy the City's new, high-tech parking system. After weather-related delays, crews are back on the job, replacing the traditional parking meters with new app-friendly kiosks. The parking system is scheduled to begin partial service in a few weeks, wrapping up completely by the end of summer. (KCCI Des Moines)Des Moines' Ingersoll Theatre, which has sat vacant for the last eight years, is now at a crossroads. A potential buyer wants to restore the theater, but the building may not be structurally sound. City permit and development staff recently toured the 83-year-old venue and found several holes in the roof, as well as interior water damage from rain and snow. Security cameras captured two males, a 16-year-old and a 14-year-old, shooting at a car. Des Moines Police found the older teen with a gun, and believe the younger teen discarded his before the arrest.
