Here are the top three stories today in Franklin: Ellie G's Dream World, an inclusive playground, is being designed for Franklin's upcoming Southeast Municipal Complex. The park is named after Elliott Grace Castro, granddaughter of Vice Mayor Brandy Blanton, who died at the age of 4 from a terminal form of dwarfism. The $3 million park will be partially funded by community organizations, with the City of Franklin covering the remaining costs. Burger Dandy, located at 96 East Main Street by the Americana Taphouse, celebrated its grand opening on Monday morning. Burger Dandy originally launched last February as a virtual restaurant before opening its brick-and-mortar location. (williamsonherald.com)The current and former mayors of Franklin recently came together for the City's quarterly Franklin Tomorrow Mayor's Breakfast. At the event, the city leaders discussed the city's growth since the 1980s.
