WHEATON, IL — Downtown Wheaton will embrace the cold and snowy weather with dozens of ice sculptures on display for the Ice Art Walk and Cocoa Crawl. The family-friendly Cocoa Crawl is set for Feb. 5 from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m., but the sculptures will remain on display after the event. Those who take part in the Cocoa Crawl can enjoy samples of hot cocoa from participating businesses downtown. For $20, participants get a commemorative mug, along with the hot cocoa samples. So far, more than 20 businesses have signed on to serve up hot cocoa, which will help keep you warm as you stroll the streets of downtown Wheaton checking out the original ice sculptures. Feb. 5 is also the date for Ice-A-Palooza, which will feature ice skating, costumed characters and the Stan's Donuts food truck from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Central Athletic Complex.
