Job Description: Security Officers are responsible for ensuring the safety and security of all students, faculty, staff, and visitors on the University campus. Officers investigate incidents, patrol the campus, ensure buildings are secure, monitor the University switchboard, staff residence hall entrances, and enforce University policies. Full and part time positions and different shifts are available. Base hourly rate: $14.00/hr. plus shift differential: $0.50/hr. for 2nd shift$2.00/hr. for 3rd shift Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Internal/external walking and vehicle patrols of campus and facilitiesEscort students, faculty and staff as requestedConduct investigations and prepare reports as necessaryRespond to and evaluate potential emergency situationsSummon appropriate emergency resources, as neededRender basic First AidProvide information/directions to students, faculty, staff and visitors.Motorist assist services: jump start dead batteries, vehicle lock-outTraffic control for special eventsServe as the Immaculata University telephone switchboard operator as required Requirements: Minimum Requirements: A high school diploma or GEDA clean criminal historyA valid driver's license with safe driving recordGood reading and report writing skillsStrong interpersonal and communications skillsAbility to sit, stand, walk for extended periods of timeAbility to lift and carry up to 50 lbsAbility to obtain CPR and First Aid training Ability to use a computer Preferred Requirements: Prior security or law enforcement experience is preferred. However, appropriate customer service skills and an ability to learn the duties of the position will be considered.
