Burlington Remains High Risk As Cases, Positive Rate Rise

BURLINGTON, MA — Burlington added over 200 coronavirus cases over the last two weeks and remained in the high-risk category in the latest state update Thursday. The town added 225 cases, more than a quarter of the 781 confirmed cases the town has reported since the virus arrived in the area. The positive test rate was 7.2 percent, up from 5.3 last week. >>MA Town-By-Town Coronavirus Stats: Majority Of Towns High Risk The majority of the state's cities and towns were designated high risk Thursday, for the first time since the state's color codes were introduced. That was 187 communities, up from 158 last week. In Burlington, 3,315 tests were conducted in the last two weeks, for 239 positives. There were 57.8 average daily cases per 100,000 residents.
