MENDOTA HEIGHTS, MN — Lower prices on houses drove many homebuyers to the exurbs in 2021, where they were able to buy bigger houses for less money, according to a report by The Minneapolis Star Tribune.
The publication said it used data from the Minneapolis Area Realtors to create its index of the hottest housing markets in the Twin Cities. It also created an interactive map of the average price of houses per square foot.
The average price of houses per square foot in Mendota Heights in 2021 was $188, according to the publication's data.
The city with the steepest price per square foot was Wayzata at $321.
