BURLINGTON, MA — Burlington's new Big Dog sculpture has been named Havoc, after the retired Burlington police dog, the Burlington Sculpture Park Committee announced Wednesday. Havoc was named through a community vote. Burlington resident Sean McDonald submitted the name, one of over 200 submissions. Voters chose "Havoc" among 10 finalists selected by the committee. Havoc retired in February, after a decade with the force. McDonald won a 12 inch miniature Havoc sculpture from artist Dale Rogers, Burlington Sculpture Park t-shirts for his family and a family photo session at the park. The Rogers sculpture is one of six at the town's new sculpture park, located across from the Town Common. Christopher Huffaker can be reached at 412-265-8353 or [email protected].
