BURLINGTON, MA — Burlington's wave of car break-ins has continued, the police department said Wednesday. The break-ins, which were first reported in mid-August, continued with multiple thefts, on Sunnyfield Avenue and Frances Road. On Aug. 17, Woburn police reported a number of break-ins Sunday night near the Burlington line, while Burlington police received at least one report of a break-in on Maguire Way. Residents are encouraged to contact the department at 781-272-1212 if their cars were broken into or if they have video or information. "Please lock your car doors," the department asked. "The overwhelming majority of motor vehicle breaks we have had for the past decade have been overnight breaks of unlocked cars in their driveways," the department said in August. "This has also been the case around the country." Christopher Huffaker can be reached at 412-265-8353 or [email protected].
