BURLINGTON, MA — Burlington Public Schools have reported seven confirmed and probable coronavirus cases since Friday, with cases reported from the kindergarten level through the high school. The seven cases are students or staff in: A fourth grade class at Pine Glenn, reported SaturdayCohort B at the high school, reported SundayA fourth grade class at Fox Hill, reported SundayA seventh grade cohort B classroom at Marshall Simonds Middle School, reported SundayFirst, third and fifth grade classrooms at Pine Glen (probable cases)A kindergarten classroom at Francis WymanAny classroom with a confirmed case of the virus is moved to remote learning for 10 days. The Board of Health does contact tracing to determine whether given students and staff need to quarantine, and those people are contacted by the Board or the district's nursing staff. Testing is also recommended for close contacts. "If you are not contacted by the Board of Health or a member of the Burlington Nursing Staff, then your child is not considered a close contact," the district said.
