A violent and seditious ciminal element raided the US Capitol on January 6th, 2021. They destroyed and damaged OUR House. This House is the sacred citadel where we celebrate democracy and form the better union our forefathers dreamed of. For the rest of the world, the Capitol is the great chapel of human freedom, and it stands as the last bastion of hope for so many all over the world. On Saturday Donald Trump said this, and I quote: "Another thing we'll do, and so many people have been asking me about it, if I run and if I win, we will treat those people from Jan. 6 fairly," Trump said to applause. "We will treat them fairly. And if it requires pardons we will give them pardons. Because they are being treated so unfairly." The Republican Party once was known as a great beacon of law and order. On Saturday night that beacon was smashed by the words of America's worst president. Trump will never enter the grounds of 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue AGAIN. Count on it. Trump, one and done.
