ReConserve of Iowa Is seeking a full time 1st shift front end loader operator for our Cedar Rapids Iowa facility. Job Summary: Our ideal candidate has experience with the safe operation of a front end loader and material handling to successfully meet the companies standards of safety, productivity and security. The candidate must be able to accurately receive materials, capture required information and complete necessary documentation. Experience in the food manufacturing industry is a plus. The loader operator is responsible for correctly, safely and efficiently move, convey and store carious bulk and packaged food material products and grain milling by-products. The loader operator plays an important role in the efficiency of the plant operations by managing consistent material flow to the plant for processing. The operator is responsible for the safe operation of the heavy equipment, pride and ownership in running and maintaining the equipment is critical. Work Schedule: These are generally 8-hour shifts. Hours of operation are 5am to 5pm Monday-Friday. Must be able to work a flexible schedule within hours of operation. Current shift hours are 5am to1:30pm or 8:30am to 5pm. Your must be available for overtime and willing to work weekends and holidays on occasion. You must have reliable transportation for all operational hours. GOOD ATTENDANCE IS A MUST! Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Preform all tasks in a safe manner in compliance with safety programs and procedures. Continually mount and dismount the equipment being operated. Requires sure footing and balance due to the potential of a slick environment. Perform routine preventative maintenance and maintain cleanliness of equipment. Routine filter, radiator and lubrication checks/cleaning. Previous experience with operating an end loader and material handling equipment required. Must make it a priority to maintain your work area, equipment and facilities properly. Situational awareness is a must do when working around heavy equipment and machinery (good vison and hearing). Physical Demands and Requirements: This job can be physically strenuous from time to time. You will be expected to be able to work in a tight and or confined space, walk, climb, kneel, lift, push and pull up to 50 pounds and occasionally more. This job will require the ability to ascend/descend ladders and work at varying heights from time to time. Work conditions reflect the current season in and around the plant. Must be comfortable with a pre-employment drug and background check.
